Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media calendars and plans in order to grow the online presence and reach of our clients accounts. You will be working closely with our graphic designer and strategist and will be expected to liaise directly with our clients.

Social Media Specialist duties and responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies.
• Define most important social media KPIs for each client.
• Develop social media content utilising the skills of our inhouse designer.
• Ensure content is informative, of high standards and engaging.
• Measure the success of every social media account.
• Develop a monthly social media conversation plan for each client.
• Obtain client approval for monthly Social Media plans, working on strict deadlines.
• Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales.

Social Media Specialist requirements and qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role. Can be for another agency or if you worked as freelancer.
• Creativity is important, thinking outside the box and understanding each clients needs.
• Using social media for brand awareness and organic credibility building
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook and Instagram, other social media platforms are an advantage.
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Knowledge of Social Media scheduling tools
• Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
• Proven success in previous campaigns or activities

We will teach you (if you dont know already)

• How to write effectively for SEO
• How to work within an agency
• How to produce content for any type of client/industry.
• How to use various keyword tools, A.I writing software.
• Applying copy to websites so basic WordPress and Divi.
• How to use certain project management tools.
• Various apps such as Heropost, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, Longshot AI, and more.

Its an advantage if you speak additional languages (German, Afrikaans) – but not essential
You must have a drivers license and own transport as you may need to visit clients occassionally.

The right applicant should meet at least one of the below pre-requisites:

• Copywriting samples; can be work done in personal or business capacity.
• An ability to describe product features in a creative and informative way
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Time-management skills
• Any diploma or certificate in copywriting or content writing would be an advantage.

Writing / Copywriting – Intern position

We are searching for a Content Writing Intern who dreams of a career as an international superstar writer, but who is willing to start their illustrious career in the world of digital marketing, and wants to gain valuable experience at a Digital Marketing Agency in Cape Town.

We are offering an intern salary of R6000 per month for 3 to 6 months and possible employment in the future with an increase in salary. This would depend on the quality and contribution of work.

The Content Writing Interns responsibilities will include:

• Writing articles
• Writing copy for social media

You will need to conduct SEO and keyword research, producing SEO-friendly blog content. You just need to know how to write, we will teach you the rest!
